Last night was Ireland’s first-ever Media Awards, held at the Burlington Hotel. ICAN’s media darlings were out in force, very proud of ICAN’s nomination for Media Agency of Year. We were one of only two independent Irish agencies to be short-listed in this category (and the only digitally focused one), the other nominees being globally owned media houses.
As everyone knows, our media department like to party, and last night they certainly had good cause! They managed to pick up a Silver Award for ‘Best Use of Media ROI – Niche (>€100k) for our Pizza Hut Delivery campaign on Facebook, which gained 18,000 fans in 3 weeks and turned a €16k media budget into over €160k worth of national & international press coverage.
And, the team scooped up a bronze award for ‘Best Use of Media Northern Ireland – Niche (<£25k) for doubling Magners Pear’s fan base with minimum budget. ICAN created engaging video formats specifically for online as well Facebook advertising to drive traffic to the Magners Pear Facebook Page. ICAN also brought the brand to life with a bespoke duo format.
With ‘Best Digital Media Agency of the Year’ already under our belts from the DMAs 2011, ICAN’s media department are getting recognised across the industry. They are on a winning streak, giving our clients imaginative, high-value media campaigns (though they’re perhaps not at their best today!)
