Grandcanalsquare.ie website is go

Grand Canal Square, in Dublin’s Docklands area, is probably best known for the Libeskind designed Grand Canal Theatre, which opened last April. Surrounding the theatre are office buildings with a floor area of 57,000sqm. Commercial property company Chartered Land, with selling agents Bannons & HTMOR, asked ICAN to create a website which illustrates the scale and ambition of the development.

The result is the new www.grandcanalsquare.ie website, which went live this morning.

We let the photos do the talking on this one. Of particular note: the letterpress wall in the atrium of the #2 building. It displays a passage from Finnegans Wake and stands like a museum piece. It’s worth making an appointment with legal firm Byrne Wallace (tenants in #2) just to see it.

Web design by the web team here in ICAN, with most photography from Con O’Donoghue.

Incidentally there will be some ICAN people at Offset 2010 (in the Grand Canal Theatre, running 1-3 October). Of interest to any and all people interested in design win.
